Both of this two are used in most occasional event but it is much cheaper  to use the Tarpaulin Standee rather that it was cut out.

I have to tell you this. If you gonna make a standee your your special event be sure that you can do it rather than buying it's very expensive in price when you buy those finish in advertising or in printing area near you. you must (DIY Do it Yourself) 

But if you want a standee to be cut out and you don't have enough budget you can use this method

Print a human size standee on the tarpaulin and glue it on a Styrofoam
this method was cheaper if you want a cut out standee for your events and occasions.
