Job Tips Resume

One of the most common resume mistakes that I see that most applicant used is using job duties into the job descriptions instead of role descriptions and accomplishment statements.

Role descriptions should be rich in keywords summary of how your work impacts the company, your team and your customers.

Means how your role can provides more satisfaction.

They should also contain scope details to help hiring authorities / manager / HR / interviewers to easily understand your level of competency.

Accomplishment statements should tell interesting stories and ideas that demonstrate a pattern of innovation, continuous improvement and success throughout your career and it's a way to make your resume become more interesting to read.

Also it can add 25% of increase to get hired.

This change will benefit your candidacy whether your resume goes through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or is viewed by a human screener.

Does your resume contain "responsible for..."?

If so,

it's time for an update and make change.

Employees LOYALTY starts from Employers LEADERSHIP

Resignation Letter

Resignation Letter

A Professional Employee RESIGNED this morning.

With a huge smile on his face.

Why?

Two weeks ago,

The company he works for cut his pay by 50% and also his number of work hours.

What did he do?

1. He revamped his resume.

2. Put more time and energy into his Social Account Platform headline and summary.

3. Contacted more recruiters.

4. Applied for jobs.

5. Prepared for interviews.

He got rejected more than twice and then last night, accepted an offer.

Apparently his resignation took his manager by surprise, this morning;

He was offered his former pay and hours to stay.

Those employee's politely declined employers offer.

COMPANIES: If the only time you value your employees is when they have one foot out of the door, you need to rethink your leadership.

Companies should get smart and start researching what THEIR employees are worth to the competition.

If as an organization you don’t demonstrate loyalty, you have no right to expect, either.

means change for EVERYONE.

No exceptions!

LEADERSHIP keys change your Attitude

A Big Mistake! Many Leaders, Owner and Boss have this attitude that anyone working in his/her company is replaceable easily like gloves, that they can hire someone's better even much better.

They do disservice to their company.

Did you know that?

A good employee has knowledge of systems , products and processes.

They have built good relationships with clients and co-workers that takes years to build.

When you afford to lose a good employee, you lose part of your culture.

And you may lose your own future.

Never push your loyal employees to the point where they are "no longer need" to your company.

Conclusion:

"If you don't show some appreciation to those who really deserve it, they'll learn to stop doing the things you appreciate."

Leadership show KINDNESS

Be kind and respect your employees so your employees will have a great respect on you. If you show to your employees kindness they have a good return.

Any thoughts, please?

Job Tips: Adding Value to your Resume

IS YOUR VALUE VISIBLE?

Add Value to your Resume

We know to ourselves the value that we can add to companies, potential employers/clients.

However,

our ability to add that value is determined by how VISIBLE our value is.

Describing our value on our Personal Account, Social Accounts, Profile, CV or website is a kind of strategy.

Emailing or sending DMs (Direct Messages) informing people of our value is another.

A more effective way/strategy which will stand you out from the crowd is to ADD VALUE before anything else.

Sometimes employers appreciate those value.

For examples: The Employers hired two freelancers NOT because they sent a DM (Direct Message to Employers) or because they found them in a search. The Employers hired them because they both left and right different comments offering valuable advice and solutions on a social media post.

If you’re stuck in your job hunt/search, your career or being seen, focus on SHARING what you know.

You must find yourself/Figure out:

Who is your target audience?

Where are they?

What have you done, heard or seen which benefitted your employer, yourself or your business?

What valuable tips, inspiring advice and best solutions can you share that will benefit others?

Think about the methods how you will share it e.g. blog, videos, articles, posts, commenting on other people's posts, etc.

Start by focusing on adding value FIRST.

For those who GIVE, RECEIVE.

How do you illustrate value on your resume?

Adding Value to Resume increase chance to get HIRED

This is a question I get all the time.

Especially from the people who don’t work in “numbers-focused” fields or have more abstract accomplishments.

The truth is, there’s almost always a way to tie measurable metrics to the work you’ve done.

Here are a few examples:
Let's say you work as an "Layout Artist"

Years of Experience: "4 years and Up of experience of doing (Job Role)"

Results: "Boost up to  $5M in store sales" or "Increased site performance by 22% sales"

Scope: "Built and Designs (Company Client Information Form) for mobile app with 23,000+ active users"

Time: "Delivered Project designs result in under 6 months”

Efficiency — “Overhauled calendar management process to save CEO (Chief Executive Officer) XX (Time) hours per month”.

NOTE: Every single employee at a company has and delivers value.

If you’re having trouble making illustrating your value, do this:

1. Try to think about how the work you do drive the company big impacts (successful project)

2. Think about other teams that your work impacts, do they have more tangible results?

Say you’re a layout artist who designs creative Facebook Ad, can you talk to the marketing team and get metrics from them?

Do your designs perform well better than average results?

3. Talk to your manager. Just Say, “I want to get better about quantifying the value I bring to the team / company, can you help me Sir do that please?”. Always be polite while your talking  it gives you a lot of good manners credit to you.

Taking the extra steps to define your value makes all the difference! from other candidate.

Adding value to your resume can indeed increase your chances of getting hired. Here are some ways you can showcase your value and stand out to potential employers:

  1. Highlight your accomplishments: Instead of simply listing your job responsibilities, focus on your achievements and results. Quantify your accomplishments whenever possible by including specific numbers, percentages, or other metrics. This demonstrates your ability to deliver tangible results and adds credibility to your resume.

Example: "Implemented a new customer retention strategy, resulting in a 15% increase in customer satisfaction within six months."

  1. Showcase relevant skills: Tailor your resume to the job you're applying for by highlighting the skills that are most relevant to the position. Use keywords from the job description and provide specific examples of how you have applied those skills in previous roles.

Example: "Proficient in project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana) with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams."

  1. Include relevant certifications or training: If you have obtained any certifications or completed relevant training programs, be sure to include them on your resume. This demonstrates your commitment to professional development and your willingness to acquire new skills.

Example: "Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) with expertise in agile project management methodologies."

  1. Demonstrate your impact: Employers want to know how you can contribute to their organization. Highlight instances where you have made a positive impact in previous roles, such as improving efficiency, reducing costs, or increasing revenue.

Example: "Identified and implemented process improvements that led to a 20% reduction in production time and cost savings of $50,000 annually."

  1. Include relevant projects or side projects: If you have worked on any significant projects or have relevant side projects, mention them on your resume. This demonstrates your initiative, creativity, and ability to take ownership of your work.

Example: "Developed a mobile app that has been downloaded over 10,000 times, demonstrating proficiency in iOS development and user interface design."

  1. Highlight leadership experience: Even if you're not applying for a management position, highlighting any leadership experience can be valuable. It showcases your ability to take charge, make decisions, and motivate others.

Example: "Led a team of 10 employees, fostering a collaborative environment and achieving a 30% increase in team productivity."

Proper ways of sending DM (Direct Message) to Recruiters

Ways how to send DM to Recruiters

DM it is a shortcut term stands for Direct Message where this term used by many professionals and internet  savvy nowadays.

Sending Direct Message to recruiters maybe hard ways to applicant, Because you need to be polite and concise in the way you speak to introduce yourself.

1. If there is a specific job opening posting “Dear (Recruiter name), I would / wish to apply for the position of (Job title) as advertised by your company on Facebook Ads (add Job Description ID number). I feel that my skills and experience are fit/suitable/good match for the job requirements and I am attaching my Cv's/resume for your consideration.”

I would be grateful if you could please accept my personal facebook account for connection request so that I might be informed/notify of any future job posting advertise by your company.”

Do NOT send resume/CV's if the scenario is number 2 option!

Consider to yourself recruiters are busy, possibly so please don’t just randomly “spray” your resume to any company's that you see when they are no job vacancy for the position or role that you'd like.

Be focused, targeted and above all polite and CONCISE in your communications.

The above tips and suggestions can be applies to any kind of direct message on Social account. “Hi” and just “hello” is for WhatsApp!

When an unemployed person sends you a connection request on Social media platforms, please accept their connection request.

Don’t judge someone based on their job title or employment status.

Unemployment is temporary.

Life is unpredictable.

The person you reject today, might be the person you need tomorrow.

We rise by lifting others.

Treat others as you would like to be treated .

Help when you can.

Proper way to Send Direct Message to Recruiters (Learn how to Approach Properly)

Sending Direct message to recruiters is not easy as you think, You must needs guts and courage to do it. If you know and learn how to approach properly recruiters gives a positive views to your personality it may increase your chance to 70% to get hired. You notice that most of the company and manager have communicated with their applicant via text message, email, and other social media platforms. In addition to conversations with recruiters, text job interviews are becoming more commonplace. Some companies even handle the entire process by text messaging. So if you know how to approach properly to recruiters via Direct message it gives you more advantage to other candidate.

Who should I message?

If you are Jobseeker it is a very important questions that you should know. If you want to message a hiring manager about a particular job advertizement, just look and check to see if there is any information about who has posted it and look for the body of the text or into the description.  If your inquiry is more general, or if you can’t find the name who posted the advertisement, then search the company’s employee list for any of these roles:
➡️ Head of Talent
➡️ Recruiter
➡️ Director of People & Talent
➡️ Human Resources / HR Manager
➡️ Hiring Manager
➡️ Recruitment Manager
If you message someone with one of these positions, there is a big chance that this people might be able to help you. Or at the very least, they will be in the same department as someone who can.  Alternatively, if you might want to reach out to an independent recruiters, someone who finds job candidates for multiple businesses in a particular company and location.  This strategy will work better when you and the recruiter share something in common, such as a connection or a former employer.

Want Recruiters to Contact You?

Everyday Recruiters receive hundreds of messages everyday from different possible qualified candidate.

Your chance are low if your try to compete among to this candidate.

But how to stand out among of this candidate.

✔ Write a Catchy title and Keyword rich and interesting subject in your Direct message.

If something hits from recruiters notification and he or she read your catchy title the Recruiters gives a more time reading those messages rather than a simple direct messages.

 ✔ ALways keep connection open

If possible you must keep your internet connection active for faster responds to your recruiters message.

It is must better to know exact time, contact information that the recruiters have, so you must know the time when your recruiter available hours.

✔ Don't spam messages

Do not spam message especially when you do Direct Messages to recruiters.

Send 1 to 2 messages per day so that if someone floods your first message the recruiters will easily read your messages.

It's to irritating when you do flood messages and a low chance to read your inquiry.

✔ Send Direct Messages at night time

This is a powerful information that you must read, A lot of Recruiters has a lot of free time at night even though when they are rest they can easily read your messages in the morning before they went to thier office works.

At this point you have a higher chance to get hired that particular day rather that candidate that send Direct message all day.

Conclusion:

There is no exact and accurate formula for a recruiters to contact a candidate.

This article was based only for my observation to experienced persons and their testimony to  inform and share to everyone.

This situation  may apply to someone else so read and understands what lesson should it brings.

Situation: Afer a couple of months in my first job/work I was applying for a higher level position in the office.

I had every reason to.

My strategies helped the company grow from second to last in the state to number four in the state.

Everyone called me “Superstar” in the office.

But I didn’t get the job that I want due to office politics.

I fell Disappointed to myself, I expand my options to look for a job to be replacement.

Within the following weeks I received an offer came from a healthcare to startup.

Some of the benefits:

It was more pay, closer to  my home, and with flexible hours to work.

I agreed to the condition that they offered, and immediately gave my last two weeks notice to take leave to the position in the office, So that the company has time to find applicants / employees (to find replacement) to the position I left.

They tried to change their mind about the position I was been rejected for but for me it was too late and I followed my guts.

For me It’s a good and best thing I did because I learned something new of how the business side of healthcare works (Aquire/Gain knowledge) based on experience working.

This is where I began to see and think effective way how I could apply my skills to serve the healthcare space.

I wouldn’t be here where I am today without having been rejected for that internal position.

Sometimes not getting the job you really want is the greatest blessing of all, even though it may not feel that way in the moment.
